2005 was a busy
year for the Mitchell family. We had several hospital stays and out of
town trips that occupied our time besides the everyday chores and time
commitment of running the farm. The website updates didn't rate too high
on the priority list for most of the year.
We have added several Kahtadin sheep to our diverse population this year. The goat herd has grown and hopefully improved with the addition of a new Boer buck. We call him the "Happy Tank" because he seems to always wear a smile. The 2005 pastured hogs finished very nicely. We learned our lesson from 2004 and used some grain to help them finish. Hopefully our 2006 hogs will be even better! |
